I looked at previously existing art surrounding the Pendle Witches

IDEA GENERATION- Set of Stamps

Potential ideas:
- collection of 6
- illustrate key points of the Pendle witch story
- avoid insensitive imagery I.e. hanging/nooses, how else can I show this ?
- lino print style ? black & white, hand printed effect ?
- OR bright colours & patterns to contrast the subject ?
- if using black & white print style, use previous kings head and money from 1600 s

DISPLAY

- posters/display boards advertising ?
- stamp book collection
- incorporate map of Lancaster ?
- use the stamp books design to feature the stamps ? E.g, if stamp is a portrait of a witch, background could be her torso ?
- perforated edge of stamp could be golden/brass coloured, making stamps look like picture frames
- medieval style map drawings on backing card ?
- OR bright patterns if choosing a more modern style
- stamp book is envelope !!
- wax seals and postage stamps on packaging ?
